 Carlo was beatified on October 10 in 2020 in the Basilica in Assisi. It means the Pope set Carlo as an example to be followed by all people and especially by children and teenagers. During the ceremony, his body was displayed in a glass coffin so that everybody could see him. Although he had died several years before, he still looked as though he had just fallen asleep. He was wearing jeans and sports shoes, as an ordinary boy of his age. Because, after all, any ordinary boy and any ordinary girl can become a saint.
